Who leads the classes?

When can I enroll?

What is the class schedule like?
The Cybersecurity Bootcamp is structured with busy schedules in mind and offers evening classes twice a week.
Where are classes held?
Classes are hosted online, featuring live virtual sessions and self-paced learning opportunities.
How long does the bootcamp last?
The Cybersecurity Bootcamp is nine months, beginning with a four-week Introductory Course, followed by the 32-week Complete Program. You can also opt to extend your training with the elective eight-week CompTIA® Security+ Certification Exam Prep Course.
Is the curriculum up-to-date with industry standards?
Absolutely. The curriculum is constantly evolving to reflect the latest advancements, tools, and technologies in the cybersecurity and AI development spaces.
Will I earn a degree?
The Cybersecurity Bootcamp provides a certificate of completion. You can also opt for the CompTIA® Security+ Exam Prep, which includes an exam voucher.
How will I gain practical experience?
The Cybersecurity Bootcamp gives you access to the TDX Arena platform, where you’ll practice hands-on skills in simulated environments​ that imitate real-world cybersecurity threats.
What is TDX Arena?
TDX Arena is a cloud-based platform you’ll receive access to in the Cybersecurity Bootcamp, where you’ll engage in immersive simulations of real-world cyberattacks and defense strategies.
Why is there an Introductory Course?
The four-week Introductory Course allows you to explore the bootcamp’s core topics and make sure it’s the right path for you.
Eligibility
Is this program only for SDSU students?
No. The Cybersecurity Bootcamp is open to anyone 18 or older, regardless of your student status.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to enroll in the program.
Do I need a degree or tech background to enroll?
No prior degree or tech experience is needed. To discuss your career goals and aptitude, please reach out to an Admissions Advisor at (619) 839-3030.
Can I transfer credits to or from the bootcamp?
Credits earned in the SDSU Global Campus Cybersecurity Bootcamp cannot be transferred to other courses or degree programs.
How do I apply?
Start by contacting an Admissions Advisor at (619) 839-3030 or by filling out the form at the bottom of the page. After an initial conversation, you’ll meet with a Senior Enrollment Advisor to discuss your goals and determine if the bootcamp is right for you.
Can I claim these programs on my taxes?
Since the bootcamp is a non-credit program, the team doesn’t issue IRS Form 1098-T. For more details, check IRS Publication 970 for Tax Benefits for Higher Education.
Financing
How much does the bootcamp cost?
The Cybersecurity Bootcamp cost is $18,500, which includes the $180 Introductory Course fee.

Career Support
Is career support included in the cost?
Absolutely. The bootcamp includes career services, such as LinkedIn profile optimization, resume reviews, and interview prep to help you secure a job. Please note that job placement is not guaranteed.
What kind of virtual events are available?
Throughout the program, you’ll have access to live virtual events such as networking events, career fairs, skill-building webinars, industry panels, mock interview days, and workshops.
Is there an extra cost for career support?
No, all career support services are included in the tuition.
Will I be guaranteed a job after the bootcamp?
The Career Coaches are experts at helping learners find tech roles and will be there to support you for up to six months after you finish the program. However, because finding a job ultimately depends on a variety of factors—including the economy, your work history, your overall experience, and your location—we cannot guarantee job placement.

What is a rolling cohort?
Select cohorts will use a rolling cohort delivery model. Participants will learn from a university-approved instructor and alongside students from other participating universities across the country. After completing the requirements, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from the SDSU Global Campus Cybersecurity Bootcamp.
